Before and after porch photos
One of our favorite things to do after a job completion is to pull out the before photos. After planning, designing, and building beautiful new porches, it’s hard to remember what the house looked like before the addition. We thought we would share some of these with you.
Before 1: Although beautiful, this Nashville ranch home didn’t stand out from the crowd. Further, the landscaping covered the front facade of the home.
You’ll have to do a double take to recognize the house below as the same one seen above. We added the open front porch with decorative white pickets along with a matching white railing near the new French doors. Along with the whitewashed painting effect, these improvements to the front of the home make it look like a completely new home.
Below is a close up view of the new open porch. The porch has a beautiful shed roof with a center gable for visual interest and to create a welcoming entry to the front porch and to the home.
The back of this lovely large home was accented by a dwarfed flat deck. Look below to see it after the addition of a new screened porch.
With the addition of a large screened porch to the back of the home, this home takes on a warm feel and charm of yesteryear.
Before the additions to this home, the home’s facade was dominated by the double garages. While this is the side entrance, it is the primary approach to the house. You won’t believe how this facade is transformed.
Believe it or not, this is the same home as pictured directly above. Now the home itself and the entry to the home are front and center.
The large tired deck and run down privacy fence are in need of an update.
This home and outdoor living area are completely transformed with this large hardscape and much more attractive fencing.
This home below has some lovely windows but the entrance is not inviting.
Now this home with lovely windows beckons hello and invites friends and family to the door. In addition, this family can now enjoy lazy afternoons rocking under the cover of the beautiful hip roof open air front porch.
Below is another one where you’ll have to do a double take to believe it’s the same home.
Voila! It’s really the same home. We enclosed the previous front porch area and added the new portico. The picture below shows a quaint and charming home which was transformed mostly by the gorgeous portico. Now the home welcomes you in and beckons you to stay a while.
This farm house below is in need of a design and build firm to add a face lift to the charm and architectural accents of yesteryear.
The open gable roof and charming green accents brought together farm house charm with the livability of a current porch with all the amenities.
The house below is attractive but wait until you see how it looks after the transformation.
Take a look at how the mixed materials of wood, stone, and pavers along with the new porch and patio create an entirely different look for this home.
