There isn’t much more American than a front porch. Well, except for the American flag itself of course. And the two together… phew, that’s patriotism! Picture this. A sprawling front porch on a summer evening, large square columns, Adirondack chairs, a table set with lemonade or sweet tea (or something stronger), and blowing in the breeze out front, an American Flag illuminated by a bright shining light.
Now that we’ve been transported to a place likely more relaxing than where we currently are, let me explain myself, and where we are going with all of this. My name is Rachael Bornhop, and I come from a family of entrepreneurs. My mother, Nancy Moore, started The Porch Company in 1991, 30 years ago at the time this was written. Her father (my grandfather) Dick Webber, has started more businesses than I can count; everything from developing a group of restaurants, to a software accounting company, to inventing and manufacturing a woodworking tool that cuts perfect flutes on a lathe. And at 94 years young, he hasn’t stopped. He is as much an inventor as he is a businessman, and his latest product is The Patriot Flagpole Light Kit. And as with every great product, it comes from a need or necessity. Did you know that Federal Law says that the flag should be illuminated if displayed at night?? I didn’t either, until my grandfather’s latest product.
The Patriot Flagpole Light Kit, What Sets it Apart
From my grandfather’s desire for more patriotism in this great country, and a lack of some key features on other flagpole lights on the market, came The Patriot Flagpole Light Kit. My grandfather realized that the current flagpole light products that existed weren’t up to his standards. Let me tell you, they are high! The Patriot Flagpole Light Kit is a 15 watt LED with 1,467 lumens, or 30 watt LED with 3,350 lumens. It is used with 110v power, has a 20 degree beam, 5000k bright white color, and 50,000 hour rating. So basically what I’m trying to say is, it is bright for a very long time (I’m talking about 25 years!). Not only that, but the installation is a cinch, and the light can be installed anywhere on the flagpole!
