Our custom made T astragals are necessary when purchasing two stock doors to be installed as a double door. That is, unless you plan to install your doors as sliding doors.
Our astragals are 1/2″ thick, and will be attached by the customer on site to the non-active door. Keep in mind that you want to account for this additional 1/2″ width, as well as 1/4″ gap between your doors, and 1/4″ gap on either side of your doors, when calculating the size of your opening.
Please note, if you are ordering a set of our Custom Double Doors, this astragal is already included.
Please also note that this astragal cannot be taller than 94″. For Astragals over 94″, call or e-mail us for a custom quote.
